Job Title: Sports coach needed in schools
Sport Coach
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Position Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday) 8:30 – 3:30
Pay: £90 – £95 per day
We are seeking an energetic and passionate sport coach to work as a teaching assistant within SEND schools in Yeovil, Somerset. This role allows you to combine your love of sports with supporting young people’s learning, social, and emotional development, fostering a lifelong passion for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support young people with SEND in lessons and learning activities.
• Use sports and physical activities to engage students and develop social, emotional, and personal skills.
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom management and personal care needs.
• Help plan and deliver school activities, sports days, and events.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support individual learning goals.
• Drivers needed: Support travel between school sites or off-site activities as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience working with young people, ideally with SEND.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child welfare.
• Ability to adapt coaching and support methods for learners with a range of needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Full driving licence preferred.
