Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis are working with schools located in the heart of Manchester's vibrant Jewish community and surrounding areas. We are committed to delivering staff with a strong experience of supporting SEND students, guided by Jewish values and traditions.
The schools we are working with are warm, nurturing, faith based (Jewish) school for children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Students benefit from small class sizes, a highly personalised curriculum, and an environment where every child is truly known, understood, and celebrated. The schools are passionate about helping every learner reach their full potential educationally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide individual and group support to pupils with a wide range of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and personalised learning programmes.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that supports each student’s well-being and development.
Contribute to the rich Jewish ethos of the school, helping embed values through daily life and learning.
Desirable Criteria:
• Understanding of or experience working within the Jewish community or a Jewish school.
• Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or other communication strategies.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Pay Rate: £89-105 (dependent on experience)
