We’re looking for an experienced TA to join a specialist secondary SEND school in Bournemouth, working with pupils aged 11–16 with SEMH, ASC and ADHD. This isn’t just classroom support — it’s about building trust, breaking down barriers, and helping students re-engage with learning and achieve their potential. Many of our pupils have experienced trauma or disrupted education, so your role will be vital in providing consistency, encouragement and a safe space to thrive. The Role: Provide 1:1 and small group support in class. Support pupils with behaviour regulation and engagement. Assist with core subjects, particularly English and Maths. Build positive, consistent relationships based on trust and respect. Work alongside teachers, therapists and the wider team to ensure progress. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with SEMH, ASC, ADHD or challenging behaviour. Resilience, patience and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Good literacy and numeracy (GCSEs in English & Maths or equivalent). A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
