Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant – Year 4 (ASC & Whole Class Support)
Location: Christchurch, Hampshire
Hours: Full-time, 08:30 – 15:30
Start Date: ASAP
A welcoming primary school in Christchurch is looking for a dedicated and compassionate TA to join their Year 4 team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide both whole class support and tailored assistance to pupils with ASC, helping every child to succeed and feel included.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Year 4 teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC.
Adapt activities and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Track and share pupil progress with the class teacher.
Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
Supervise pupils during breaks and lunchtimes.
Uphold school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
Liaise with staff and parents to support pupil development.
Take part in staff meetings and training opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
TA qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) preferred.
Experience working with children, ideally with ASC.
Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
