Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant
Pay: £90–£95 per day
Hours: Full-time
Axcis Education is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants to join an all-through SEND school in Frome on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people of all ages and has experience supporting learners with additional needs.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting (essential)
• Some experience supporting young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) (essential)
• A child-enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service—or willingness to apply through Axcis
• A genuine passion for helping young people learn and thrive
• Reliable, flexible, and proactive with a positive attitude
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Supporting teachers in the classroom and helping deliver learning activities
• Assisting individual students or small groups, particularly those with additional needs
• Helping create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Supporting young people’s social, emotional, and educational development
• Working collaboratively with school staff and other agency colleagues
• Following safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies at all times
Experience Desired:
• Any previous experience supporting young people in schools or educational settings (professional or personal experience counts)
• Experience supporting young people with SEND is highly valued
• Experience with all age groups—from early years through to secondary—is a plus
