Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant Pay: £90–£95 per day Hours: Full-time Axcis Education is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants to support a specialist SEMH school in Salisbury on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs and helping them achieve their potential in a safe and nurturing environment. What We’re Looking For: • Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting • Experience supporting young people with SEND, particularly SEMH • A child-enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service—or willingness to apply through Axcis • A genuine passion for helping young people thrive academically, socially, and emotionally • Reliable, flexible, and proactive with a positive, supportive approach Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Supporting teachers in delivering learning activities and classroom management • Assisting individual students or small groups, particularly those with SEMH or additional needs • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment • Supporting young people’s social, emotional, and mental health development • Working collaboratively with school staff, external professionals, and other agency colleagues • Following safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies at all times Experience Desired: • Previous experience supporting young people in schools or educational settings (professional or personal experience counts) • Experience supporting young people with SEMH or other SEND needs • Experience working with a range of ages, from primary through secondary, is a plus If you are a committed, empathetic, and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with SEMH needs, we would love to hear from you!
