Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) – Frome
Full-time | £90–£95 per day | Immediate start
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a proven background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Are you confident, adaptable, and ready to make an immediate impact? If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
We are seeking a committed and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Frome on a full-time basis. This is an exciting chance to contribute to a dedicated team while supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in helping pupils to engage with their learning, build social and emotional skills, and develop independence. Working closely with class teachers and the wider support team, you will:
• Deliver one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs.
• Assist in adapting activities and resources to make learning accessible.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional regulation strategies.
• Promote inclusion and create a nurturing, supportive environment.
• Help pupils build confidence and life skills both in and out of the classroom.
About You
We are looking for candidates who are confident, enthusiastic, and able to step into the role with little need for direction. To succeed, you should bring:
• Demonstrable SEND experience (either professional or personal).
• A resilient, compassionate, and patient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The flexibility and confidence to support pupils with varying needs.
• A proactive, positive mindset and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
