We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school located in the heart of Preston town centre.
As a Teaching Assistant in our school, you will work closely with our Key Stage 1 teaching team to support the delivery of our curriculum and the educational development of our pupils aged between 5 and 7 years. Your role will involve assisting in the preparation of learning materials, contributing to lesson delivery, and supporting individual and small groups of pupils with their learning activities.
Your daily responsibilities will extend to monitoring student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher, and actively participating in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. You will also be instrumental in maintaining discipline, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
Ideally, you will have previously worked with children in an educational setting, and you will be well-versed in the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit are paramount, as you will be working with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of our pupils.
