Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – SEND School, Bradford Pay: £90–£95 per day Hours: Full-time Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND school in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for helping children and young people with special educational needs, particularly those with SEMH, to thrive in both their learning and personal development. What We’re Looking For: • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting (essential) • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, especially SEMH (essential) • A child-enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service—or willingness to apply through Axcis • A genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their potential • A positive, reliable, and flexible approach to working within a team Key Responsibilities: • Assisting teachers with lessons and classroom activities • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional regulation • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment • Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and mental wellbeing • Working collaboratively with school staff and following safeguarding policies Experience Desired: • Previous experience supporting young people with SEND (professional or personal experience considered) • Knowledge of SEMH needs and strategies to support them • Experience working across different age groups is an advantage If you are a caring, resilient, and motivated Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people with SEND in Bradford, we’d love to hear from you.
