Job Title: Youth Workers & Care Workers- Teaching Assistants
Axcis are currently recruiting for Youth Workers and/or Care Workers to support vulnerable pupils across a variety of SEND settings and schools in Plymouth. We are an education agency specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with opportunities in mainstream schools, SEND schools, alternative provisions, and PRUs. Placements vary depending on the needs of the provision – from one day to several weeks or even a full term. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have experience working with children or adults with SEND, who are confident in managing challenging behaviour and can remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will be patient, understanding, and resilient. Those trained in Team Teach or MAPA will have an advantage. Some of the children and adults we support present with needs such as ADHD, attachment disorders, SEMH, challenging behaviour, ODD, PMLD, SPLD, and more.
